1. FREE BILLIARDS GAME

Shoot pool on your computer with this pool billiards program!

The program includes the following games:

  • 3-balls Billiards (French Billiards)
  • Pool (American Billiards)
  • Snooker (English Billiards)
  • Esnuka (Spanish Billiards)
  • Esnuka-II
  • Esnuka-III

In all the pool billiards games, there is the possibility to play against the computer as there are up to ten pc players with different levels of ability.

There is also the possibility of billiards, pool, snooker, and all Esnuka games of competing in an eight pc players tournament, among which can be the players available in the computer.

Also, in BEEPS (Billiards - Esnuka II - Pool - Snooker) Cups, points are accumulated when beating the computer players.

You choose the angle, spin, and impulse. Again, in Esnuka, three-ball billiards, pool billiards, and snooker, it is possible to save a game and continue it later.

The pool billiards Esnuka reproduces the evolution of the species and radically changes some of the concepts generally accepted up until now.

This evolution shows a particular example within the general theory of Conditional Evolution, explained in the instructions.

Using the computer technology (1992) and drawing on parallels with pool billiards and snooker, the theory appears in an easy and fun way, thanks to its impressive visual effects.

At all times, Esnuka is as user-friendly as possible, with the use of menus, quick help screens, and complete instructions.

The instruction explains the theories most relevant to this subject.

As well as being able to change the parameters of the initial configuration, the program contains four more models:

  • The Random model displays the characters of the whole population after specifying a number of generations from the initial random selection.

  • Esnuka has the main parameters of the general theory of the Conditional Evolution of Life; the game is similar on snooker, where players try to pot those balls closest to the aim of the game. In this model, the snooker balls are of two different types, with a clear sexual parallel.

  • Particular evolution model, Esnuka-II, in which the sexual differentiation carries out the limitation function referred to in the CEL and the color of the genes determines the gender according to Mendel's laws.

  • Esnuka-III is identical to Esnuka II except for the color of the balls. It becomes more difficult to distinguish as the game goes on. Therefore, sexual differentiation becomes less evident.

There is a function to display any specific hybridization at all times.

1.a) INSTALLATION BILLIARDS PC GAME

Billiards Esnuka is a freeware MS-DOS-based program that works perfectly in all Windows systems:

  • WinNT
  • Windows 9x
  • Windows 2000
  • Windows Me
  • Windows XP
  • Windows Vista and following versions (with an emulator)

In some operating systems, it may be necessary to re-create the Esnuka short cut or not use it.

The help application is in HTML language and online.

For the installation of the billiards pc game, Esnuka is in a self-extracting file, and it runs immediately after installation.

The short cut folder must update if the default installation folder has changed during the installation of the billiards game.

With Windows Vista:

  • Windows Vista does not allow MS-DOS games with a full screen like Esnuka billiards pc games, but with an emulator program, there is no problem.

    Another solution for playing Esnuka billiards pc games is by creating different operative systems with virtual machines that, although more complicated, it provides the original setting. You can get the Virtual PC 2007 program free from the Microsoft site for downloads.

    A third solution for emulating MS-DOS is Windows Powershell, which will come in the operative system after Windows Vista.

  • A free emulator program for Esnuka billiards pc games and other pc games that is very easy to use is DOSBOX v. 0.70, which official website is dosbox.sourceforge.net

    • This emulator program contains a file for a version in Spanish and a help file.  (Check the layout of the keyboard)

    • Once the Esnuka billiards pc games and DosBox are installed, run the DosBox program and the only thing to do is to enter the following on the command line on the screen:

      • z:> mount c c:\games\esnuka

      • z:> c:

      • c:>esnuka
